1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. mushrooms (recommended: cremini or white button)
1 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. olive oil, divided
4 buns
Toppings of your choice: lettuce, tomato, onions, cheese, pickles, etc.

Finely dice mushrooms (or gently pulse in food processor). Add 2 tbsp. olive oil to skillet. Bring to medium high heat and add mushrooms, sautéing for 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Remove pan from heat and let cool for 5 mins. Once the mushrooms have cooled, transfer them to a medium bowl. Add ground beef and salt, mix until thoroughly combined. Form into 4 patties. Add remaining 1 tbsp. olive oil to sauté pan and cook burger patties on medium high heat until desired doneness. Plate and add desired toppings.
