1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil

Heat the oven to 425 degrees. Butter the popover pans. If using custard cups for baking, heat them in the oven and brush with melted butter just before filling.

Combine the flour and salt. Stir in the eggs, milk and vegetable oil, and blend until smooth. Let the batter rest for at least 10 minutes or for as long as 30 minutes.

Fill the popover pans or custard cups slightly less than half full. Bake for 30 minutes. Do not open the oven during baking time or the popovers may sink.
